Historic Place

Dambana ng Kagitingan ( Shrine of the Valor) Bataan: Cross of Mt. Samat

There are many historical places here in the Philippines. One of the best historical places is the Dambana ng Kagitingan or Shrine of the Valor in English and located at Bataan, Central Luzon, Pilar, Shrines. The Dambana ng Kagitingan was built in recognition of the heroism of  Filipinos who fought and offered life for their country during World War II.

Through stepping up the stairs we emerged  to a majestic, panoramic view in Bataan.

The memorial cross was clowed to the highest area of the mountain, 555 meters from the ground of the sea. The cross is made of steel, concrete, and marble. It has a height of 92 meters. Abueva's sculptures were found in the cross called "Nabiag na Bato" describing important events in history, such as the executions of Dr. Jose Rizal and Lapu-Lapu. There is an elevator inside the cross to go upstairs for the visitors to the viewing gallery on cross-strait shoulders.

Its my privilege to visit one of the best historical places here in the Philippines. Aside from remembering the history of the Philippines also appreciating the real natural beauty of the Philippines. Perfect instagrammable views for instragammable pictures. It is highly recommended to visit Dambana ng Kagitingan or Shrine of the Valor for the educational or exposure trip of students because it is affordable and worth it to visit.

COME AND VISIT DAMBANA NG KAGITINGAN LOCATED AT BATAAN. REMEMBERING THE HISTORY OF THE PHILIPPINES AND APPRECIATING THE REAL BEAUTY OF THE PHILIPPINES.
